SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Numerical Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: NMTC), the leading provider of subwavelength design-to-silicon solutions to the semiconductor industry, today announced that it has landed a position as one of the top 10 companies in Deloitte & Touche's list of the 50 fastest growing businesses in the Silicon Valley. With revenue reaching $23.3 million in 2000, up from $51,000 in 1996, Numerical secured the number six spot on the list.

Numerical's latest industry recognition puts them in an exclusive category of successful companies that has included past honorees such as Yahoo!, Rambus, Cisco Systems, Netscape, NVIDIA and PeopleSoft. The company was chosen after an evaluation of the operating revenue of companies that earned at least $50,000 in 1996 and at least $1 million in 2000. Numerical's growth over that time period equated to approximately 45,586 percent.
